1.考查關(guān)系代詞whose引導(dǎo)的定語從句

whose的先行詞可指人也可指物，在從句中作定語。指物時，可用of which代替，但詞序不同，即whose+名詞=the +n + of which=of which + the + n.

He lives in the room whose window faces south.

= He lives in the room, the window of which faces south.

=He lives in the room, of which the window faces south.

2.考查關(guān)系代詞which引導(dǎo)的定語從句

關(guān)系代詞which只用于指事或物，不用于指人，它在定語從句中主要用作主語或賓語。此外，which還可以引導(dǎo)非限制定語從句。如：

The picture which was about the car was terrible.

They won the game, which we hadn’t expected.

3.考查“介詞+關(guān)系代詞”結(jié)構(gòu)

在由“介詞+關(guān)系代詞”引導(dǎo)的定語從句中，只能用which指物，whom指人(“介詞+ which”一般在定語從句中分別做時間、地點、原因狀語，于是“介詞+ which”可以分別用when, where, why代替)。如：

I like the person to whom the teacher is talking.

4.混淆關(guān)系代詞與關(guān)系副詞

看到先行詞是表示時間、地點、原因的名詞，不一定要用關(guān)系副詞。在此情況下，要看關(guān)系詞在定語從句中是用作什么成分，若是用作狀語，則用關(guān)系副詞，若不是用作狀語(如用作主語、賓語等)則不能用關(guān)系副詞，而用關(guān)系代詞。比較：

This is the factory where I want to work. (work為不及物動詞where在從句中用作狀語)

This is the factory that I want to visit. (visit為及物動詞，that用作visit的賓語)
