1.考查不定式、現(xiàn)在分詞與過去分詞的基本區(qū)別
從時間關系上看，不定式表未來，現(xiàn)在分詞表進行，過去分詞表完成;從主動與被動來看，不定式和現(xiàn)在分詞表主動，過去分詞表被動。如：
I send you 100 dollars today, the rest to follow in a year.
Having been separated from other continents for millions of years, Australia has many plants and animals not found in any other country in the world.
2.在通常情況下，用作目的狀語只能是不定式。如：
To improve their service, the workers of the hotel are active in learning English.
3.非謂語動詞的邏輯主語應與句子一致，否則就應調(diào)整句子結(jié)構(gòu)。如：
While watching television, we heard the doorbell ring.
4.“(be +) 過去分詞+介詞”結(jié)構(gòu)
有一類“be+過去分詞+介詞”結(jié)構(gòu)，如be interested in, be worried about, be lost in, be dressed in等，去掉be做后置定語、賓語補足語或狀語。如：
Lost in the mountains for a week, the two students were finally saved by the local police.
5.不定式表結(jié)果
表示結(jié)果時，不定式的動作發(fā)生在謂語動詞之后，往往表示未曾預料到的或令人不快的，不定式前常加only，謂語動詞與不定式的動作不存在因果關系。如：
The American troops tried many times to break into the mosque, only to be beaten back each time.
6.只接不定式做賓語的動詞和只接動名詞做賓語的動詞或短語
只接不定式做賓語的動詞：hope, want, offer, long, fail, expect, wish, ask, decide, pretend, manage, agree, afford, determine, promise, happen等。
只接動名詞做賓語的動詞或短語：mind, miss, imagine, practise, suggest, finish, escape, appreciate, prevent, keep, avoid, risk, resist, consider, can’t help, feel like, succeed in, be fond of, object to, insist on, set about, look forward to, devote oneself to, be worth, pay attention to
